Members of the Property and Presbytery Office Operations Group:
- Six members nominated by Committee on Nominations and approved by the Presbytery; three year terms; eligible for re-election; elect own moderator; at least one half of members laypersons; real estate experience helpful
- Executive Presbyter, ex officio
Responsibilities:
- Oversee operation of the Presbytery office in consultation with the Executive Presbyter (e.g. custodial services, office equipment, etc.)
- Review adequacy of insurance on property owned by the Presbytery
- Verify that real estate records, repairs, and maintenance are provided on all property owned by the Presbytery
- Review requests to borrow money, buy, sell or lease real estate owned by congregations in accordance with Book of Order (G-8.0500)
- Administer any real estate transactions initiated by the Presbytery
