Young Adults, a self-defined group of individuals from single congregations as well as collective congregations, gather from time to time in the Presbytery of East Tennessee. In the Spring of 2007, young adults participated in some after hours events associated with the presbytery's educational event called Loaves and Fishes and we recently ventured into the mountains of North Carolina for a retreat at Montreat Conference Center and hope to return in the fall of 2008. We want to create a contact list of young adults (roughly ages 21-40) in order to enrich individual's lives as well as share ministry ideas for volunteers and church workers. Within one of our presbytery ministry teams, for years there has been a person dedicated to supporting young adults and equipping congregations in such efforts so that singles, married, with and without children are considered. If you would like information about upcoming events, e-mail the presbytery staff at office@presbyteryeasttn.org and they will forward it to pastors specializing in young adult ministries whether it be as far south as Chattanooga or as far north as Knoxville.
