Presbyterian Youth Triennium 2010
This summer the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold the Presbyterian Youth Triennium 2010 at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, from July 20 – 24. The Presbyterian Youth Triennium (PYT) is a triennial youth conference that gathers thousands of senior high youth and adult leaders for a week of small groups, worship, recreation, faith challenges, global awareness and community life. This year's theme is “For Such a Time as This” from Esther 4:14.
The Triennium begins on Tuesday July 20, 2010, with a meal and concludes on Saturday, July 24th with a worship experience. For more information, click these links:
Youth Committee
The Youth Committee is made up of adult volunteers who are committed to providing meaningful programs and activities for the youth in our Presbytery. They are responsible for planning and executing the following events:
- Annual Fall Middle School and High School Retreats
- Annual Youth Summit in Gatlinburg for senior high youth
- End-of-Summer Event at John Knox Center
- PC(USA) Youth Triennium for senior high youth - held every three years
Youth Council
The Youth Council is made up of high school youth (grades 9-12) representing churches in the Presbytery. The Youth Committee seeks individuals with strong leadership skills and encourages each church to nominate up to three members to the Youth Council. Members of the Council are expected to attend all of the senior high events and to help plan and execute the Middle School events.
