Members of the Committee on Nominations:
- Nine members representing each area of Presbytery as well as churches of all sizes; in accordance with the Book of Order 9.0801a, membership is to be one-third ministers, one-third laywomen, and one-third laymen; members elected each year to serve three year terms, with no person serving more than six consecutive years; elect own moderator
Responsibilities:
- Nominate members of committees (except Nominations), Mission Team Leadership Councils, Board of Directors for the Corporation, Permanent Judicial Commission members, vice-moderator and moderator for presbytery, Commissioners and YADS to General Assembly and Synod, as listed in the Book of Order, and search committees as appropriate
- Consult with the Committee on Representation (Book of Order G-90801c)
- Develop two-way communication with committees, commissions, mission teams, and congregations to assure that individuals with gifts and energy needed on those committees, commissions, and mission teams are nominated for membership
