Opportunities in the Presbytery

The Wilderness Seminary of the Presbytery of East Tennessee

A program created by Equip

 What is the Wilderness Seminary?

Equip seeks to help clergy, educators, and lay leaders in the Presbytery of East Tennessee to gain competencies needed for more effective and faithful ministry. Equip will be launching a series of programs called The Wilderness Seminary of the Presbytery of East Tennessee to help church leaders (who find themselves in the wilderness of practical ministry) gain new theological education to better serve their congregations. Our first class will be on Collaborative Divorce Counseling and will equip church leaders with tools to better counsel parishioners who are going through the process of divorce in constructive ways.

Workshop: Collaborative Divorce Training - Thursday, April 12, 2018, 11:00am - 1:00pm

Description: The workshop will focus on best practices for navigating divorce, defusing conflict, and avoiding triangulation. The workshop will be led by Emily Heird, a licensed counselor from Knoxville Counseling Services and Collaborative Divorce Coach. Her workshop will last approximately 90 minutes and will give space for casual conversation and questions over lunch.

Location: Korean Church of Knoxville, 108 Farlow Dr., Knoxville TN 37934

This event is free of charge and includes lunch.

RSVPs are required (for lunch) no later than Monday, April 9th at 5:00pm.

Please RSVP (even if you do not need lunch) to Andy Morgan at andypmorgan@gmail.com
