Who We Are & How We Work
“The presbytery is responsible for the government of the church throughout its district, and for assisting and supporting the witness of congregations to the sovereign activity of God in the world, so that all congregations become communities of faith, hope, love, and witness.” — PCUSA Book of Order, G-3.0301
Our Presbytery is composed of 62 churches, 3 campus ministries, chaplains, pastors, staff persons, and church professionals. From Knoxville to Chattanooga, from Huntsville to Fairfield Glade, we are active stewards of God’s creation and all that is in it.
Presbyterians are “connectional” in structure and in spirit. We rely on the strength of the Holy Spirit coming from and through our many ministries. We are committed to unity in Christ, diversity in membership, and the love and justice of God.
